How VetCarelD Works

VetCareID protects your pet in emergencies, while also making it easy to prove vaccination status with groomers, boarders, new vets, and more. Here's how it works:

Sign up for an account and register your pet.
Check your email for your pet's unique VetCareID card.
Anytime your pet receives vet services, show your pet's identification card at checkout so they can send your records from the visit to your pet’s VetCareID.
Anytime you need to prove vaccination status or share medical records, show your VetCareID and the provider will be able to follow the instructions on the card to view and verify the records.

VetCarelD gives you the ability to grant access to the records remotely if needed, while also providing the options to print, share, or email.

When you register with VetCareID, your pet is assigned a unique ID and password. This information can be shared with licensed vets and emergency clinics worldwide which will grant them access to your pet's medical history.

Full Medical History at Your Fingertips

Whether you need to look back on medications your pet has had in the past or if their weight has been fluctuating, VetCarelD keeps your pet's full medical history organized and available 24/7.

Protection For Emergencies and Travel

In the event of an emergency at home or away, VetCareID makes it possible for emergency clinics to access medical data day or night to look for vital information they may need prior to performing a surgery, providing food, or administering medication.

Grant Access Remotely or with a Physical ID

Need to share your pet's records in-person? Simply show your digital or physical VetCareID card. Granting access over the phone? Provide your pet's unique access code and you're good to go!

Medical Records Past, Present, and Future

VetCareID isn’t just for future vet visits. If you would like, VetCareID can contact any vet clinics your pet has visited in the past to get all their previous records. This service is free for all VetCareID users!
